Wang Zhe graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2000 with a doctorate in engineering. In the same year, he entered the postdoctoral mobile station of Tongji University. After leaving the station in 2001, he stayed on as a teacher. He is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Automotive College of Tongji University, the head of the New Energy Commercial Vehicle Technology Institute, and a member of the Electric Vehicle Branch of the China Automotive Engineering Society. The main research contents: fuel cell and pure electric commercial vehicle power system, linear internal combustion engine hybrid system technology, vehicle power battery health status assessment, decommissioned power battery gradient utilization. He has hosted 3 national 863 projects, 1 national science and technology support plan, 5 projects of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, published more than 50 papers, and applied for 3 invention patents. Undergraduate students are now offering professional basic courses "Automotive CADCAM" and "Modern Design Methodology" to provide courses such as "System Analysis and Project Management" for graduate students. As a member of the “12th Five-Year” and “13th Five-Year” Science and Technology Planning Expert Group in Shanghai, he participated in the development planning and policy formulation of Shanghai's new energy vehicles, and served as the overall expert group of GEF China's third phase fuel cell city bus demonstration project. Member, member of the Shanghai Bus Group Technical Research Advisory Committee, member of the Technical Committee of Shanghai Hydrogen Utilization Engineering Technology Research Center, and technical consultant of the National Engineering Research Center for Automotive Supercapacitor System.
“Beyond No. 3” fuel cell car was selected into the top ten scientific and technological progress of Chinese universities in 2006 (main R&D personnel); “Fuel Battery Car Power Platform Technology” won the first prize of the 2007 Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked fifth); “Key Technology of Fuel Cell Car Power Platform” won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2008 (ranked fifth); “New energy vehicle multi-energy powertrain integration and control” won the first prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award in 2013; As the person in charge of the demonstration operation of the Beijing Olympic fuel cell sedan, he was awarded the “Advanced Individual of Science and Technology Olympics” by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2008; During the period of 2009-2010, he was responsible for formulating the demonstration plan and plan for the new energy vehicle of the World Expo, and won the “Expo Advanced Technology of the World Expo” by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2010.
