From March 20 to 22, the Tongji University Student Racing Carnival, a key event of the Shanghai Auto Culture Festival, was successfully held at Jiading Campus of Tongji University. Under the guidance of China Society of Automotive Engineers, the carnival, hosted by College of Automotive and Energy Engineering of Tongji University, attracted 12 student racing teams from 10 universities, including Southeast University, Huaqiao University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, Hunan University, Tongji University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Shanghai University of Engineering Science, Ningbo University and Zhejiang University, building a platform for automotive engineering practice among universities.

On the morning of March 20, the opening ceremony of the carnival took place at the lecture hall of the Clean Energy Automotive Engineering Center on the Jiading Campus. CAO Jing, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Tongji University Committee, ZHANG Lijun, Secretary of the CPC College of Automotive and Energy Engineering Committee of Tongji, and JIN Xin, Deputy General Manager of Exeed Business Unit, delivered speeches successively. A sponsorship signing ceremony between Driverless Racing Team of Tongji and Exeed was held at the scene.

After the opening ceremony, a three-day series of practical demonstrations and exchange sessions proceeded in an orderly manner. During the event, all teams completed static vehicle inspections first, followed by dynamic demonstrations of racing power performance and system performance, gaining experience in real-world scenarios.

Moreover, a special exchange meeting with engineers from HORIBA Mira was held. Industry experts shared core ideas and technical paths for automotive chassis research and design with students based on practical experience.

This carnival integrated resources from universities, enterprises and other parties, ensuring the smooth progress of all sessions. Going forward, College of Automotive and Energy Engineering will continue to build diverse and innovative practice platforms to help students consolidate their professional foundations, enhance their comprehensive competitiveness, and showcase the outstanding demeanor of students from Tongji University.
