Notice of the Summer School Program of the Overseas Campus in 2025 of the School of Automotive Studies

In accordance with the international exchange policies of the Undergraduate College, the School of Automotive Studies will launch the 2025 Summer School Programs at overseas campuses.

(1)Germany Overseas Campus Summer School Program

This program is jointly organized by the School of Automotive Studies, the Technical University of Darmstadt, and Tongji SEM German-Sino Center. Based on the curriculum, international short-term exchanges are conducted to broaden undergraduates' international horizons and provide students with a learning experience of diversified contents, cross-professionalism, and collision of concepts. This will stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning, broaden their horizons, give them new creative passions and enrich their imagination and creativity.


Participants: Third- and fourth-year undergraduates from the School of Automotive Studies; 20 students planned for 2025.


Duration: July 13th – July 26th, 2025 (tentative).


(2)Germany-Austria Summer School Program

This program is jointly organized by the School of Automotive Studies, Graz University of Technology, and Tongji SEM German-Sino Center. Based on the curriculum, the program conducts international short-term exchanges, expands undergraduates' international horizons, and provides students with a learning experience with diversified contents, professional intersections, and collision of concepts. This will stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning, broaden their horizons, give them new creative passions and enrich their imagination and creativity.


Participants: Third- and fourth-year undergraduates from the School of Automotive Studies; 20 students planned for 2025.


Duration: July 6th – July 19th, 2025 (tentative).


(3)Italy Florence Summer School Program

This program originates from the exchange program of Florence Overseas Campus Culture and Art Education Practice Base launched by the Undergraduate College of Tongji University and SINO-ITALIAN CAMPUS since 2017. The program focuses on curriculum-based international short-term exchanges, aiming to expand undergraduates' international horizons by integrating Florence's rich local educational and teaching resources in art, architecture, design innovation, etc., combining with its advantages in humanities and social sciences as well as in design and innovation education, and to provide students with a learning experience of diversified contents, cross-specialties, and collision of concepts. This will stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning, broaden their horizons, give them new creative passions and enrich their imagination and creativity.


Participants: Third- and fourth-year undergraduates from the School of Automotive Studies; 25 students planned for 2025.


Duration: July 6th – July 19th, 2025 (tentative).


Registration time: From now until March 21st, 2025.


Required Application Materials:

1.Motivation Letter with a recommendation from your academic advisor (mandatory; this is a credit-bearing program—please elaborate on your reasons for applying).

2.Personal Resume (in both Chinese and English; no fixed format required).

3.Transcript Copy (original must be verified; minimum requirement: undergraduate GPA ≥ 3.5).

4.English Proficiency Proof (CET-4/6, IELTS, TOEFL, etc.).

1.Strong language proficiency.

2.Outstanding academic performance.

3.Excellent overall performance and comprehensive abilities.

4.Demonstrated teamwork spirit.
