School-Enterprise Cooperation | Tongji University and Porsche Signed Memorandum of Understanding

On April 17, the signing ceremony of "Tongji University-Porsche Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation" was successfully held at the New Energy Automobile Engineering Center of Jiading Campus of Tongji University. Professor Gu Xianglin, Vice President of Tongji University, Dr. Oliver Blume, President of Porsche Global Executive Board, and members of the Board, Professor Yu Zhuoping, Assistant President of Tongji University, Professor Wu Zhihong, Vice President of China-Germany College, and representatives of Porsche (China) Co., Ltd. attended the signing ceremony.

  In his speech, President Gu Xianglin mentioned that Tongji University is in an important period of accelerating the construction of double-class universities. The whole automotive industry is facing tremendous adjustment and technological change, and is developing in the direction of "efficient, green, intelligent and friendly". In-depth cooperation between enterprises and universities is the best response to achieve sustainable transportation development. At the same time, President Gu also expressed the hope that through the signing of the agreement, the two sides can achieve the integration of resources and common development. During the talks, Dr. Obermu pointed out that the establishment of good cooperation with Tongji University, which has a long history and is respected, is an important measure to promote the sound development of enterprises and technological change.

  The memorandum of understanding not only extends the long-standing strategic partnership between the two sides, but also expands the scope of cooperation in many important areas, including the exchange of knowledge and talents in smart car technology, providing students of Tongji University with internships in Porsche Engineering Technology Research and Development Co., Ltd. and its subsidiaries. It will also sponsor the scientific and technological innovation team of college students in Tongji University Auto College.
  After the signing ceremony, Dr. Obermu made an invitation report entitled "Future Sporting Car" and visited the Intelligent Network Test Base, Shanghai Wind Tunnel Center for Ground Transportation, and the Science and Technology Innovation Practice Base of College of Automobile and interacted with students.
